Don't you agree?
I wanted to do something special with my Sew South friends that showcased their creativity and enabled us to give back to the community at the same time.
So we are creating a special quilt for the Ronald McDonald House of Charlotte.
It will hang in their game room for all the families to enjoy and hopefully bring a smile to their faces while they go through a difficult time.
They often talk about different meanings of home at the RMH so I knew that a house quilt would be the perfect fit. To me, home is where the heart is and that sentiment seemed perfect for this quilt.
This block comes together easily and is beginner friendly too. If you need a refresher on paper piecing check out my tutorial on how to paper piece.
I'd love to see it if you make one so please upload your version to the Ellison Lane flickr group.
Enjoy!
xo,
Jennifer

What a great project! We love the RMH. My husband and his first wife stayed there while their baby was in the hospital. They do so much good for families who are going through a hard and scary time.

Thanks for sharing this block! It is so perfect for RMH! My sister's daughter is battling cancer - they've spent a whole lot of time staying at RMH and it's such a wonderful caring place. Thanks for sharing your talent with the families who stay there! Maybe this is the initiative I need to finally make a quilt for the RMH my niece stays at!
