We're going to be digging into those scrap bins and putting those precious pieces you've been hanging on to, to use. It's about time, right?!
So, first things first: go sort those scraps! Over the next week, you're going to have sneak peeks into scrap organization from a slew of talented quilting bloggers. Take notes, pin ideas, just get busy.
You are going to need your scraps sorted by color.
We're going to be sewing fast and loose- no measuring, nothing exact. Freedom and liberation while we dig into those scrap bins.

Sounds fun!! And who doesn't have scraps to use up?? I can't wait!
My scraps are already sorted...does this mean I can take this week off? lol
I better make my scraps look presentable!!
Hurray! I don't have many little bitty scraps to sort, but I also don't really know what to do with them (since there aren't a lot of each color). So I am looking forward to seeing what everyone does!
well, ok! I am excited! This will be my 2nd QAL!
Oh my! Only a week to sort my scraps, you better send a search party! I may be some time ...
My scraps have been overflowing so were sorted into colour a while ago, can't wait to actually reduce the size of each box!
Excellent! Now, I'll need someone to come to my house and sort my 5-gallon bucket of scraps. Is that service included in the QAL? :)

YES! I found out about your site and Scrappy Stash Quilt-Along on facebook this morning and I can't wait to get started!
Oh very fun!
Sounds like fun! I actually just organized my scraps by color last month. Looking forward to the QAL.
So excited! I hope that I can actually participate! I have so much scrap fabric!
Oh my!! I needed to start the sorting part at the beginning of the year! I have them in three areas. I cannot wait to get started.
Sounds like fun! What size quilt is this going to be? I'm not sure if I have enough scraps or not. :)
I would love to give it a go!
This is going to be fun!!
I have a quick question about this quilt along-- how far should the scrap sorting go? Just basic color families like red, blue, green, etc.? Or should it be a more detailed sort? More like yellow-green, green, blue-green, etc? I have 5 years worth of scraps in the house right now, so it is a pretty staggering amount!
i'm sitting here, trying to think about if i can participate or not. then i thought, "well, if i did it as a QAYG, i could probably do it." THEN i saw that maureen will be doing the QAYG tutorial, which means i'm in! yay!
I've never done a QAYG before. Sounds like fun. I don't have many light scraps. Are we allowed to "buy" scraps? LOL
